Wireless Devices and Sevices

This contract is available for use by all state agencies and political subdivisions

The objective of this contract is to facilitate the incorporation of wireless devices at all political levels of responsibility throughout the State of New Jersey.  Under this contract all New Jersey government agencies can provide enhanced in-building wireless coverage systems under the Cooperative Purchasing Program

Examples of the types of service that can be provided are: 

a) Wireless in-building phone service enhancement.  It has been recognized that the next challenge for wireless phone quality of service is to provide improved phone service inside buildings. 

b) high-speed internet connectivity via IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n hot spot type networks.  High-speed Internet service can be provide using wireless access points throughout the target facility. 

c) Wireless Broadband Access.  Devices such as Motorola Canopy access points and subscriber modules can be used to provide either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless connectivity to multiple buildings throughout either a campus type setting, or throughout and entire town or city.  O-MC Signal Research, Inc. has installed devices such as these with great success.
